STORY: Fashion brand Gucci kicked off Milan Fashion Week with an array of aristocratic elegance on Wednesday (September 19).

Gucci's designer Frida Giannini created a sophisticated minimalist collection for next summer with sharp silhouettes in bright total pink, white, blue and black.

Dresses had either short or long hemlines for an aristocratic woman who chooses her outfits depending on her mood.

Long silk blouses were worn over slim trousers and paired with patent leather stilettos in matching colours.

Giannini emphasised arms and shoulders with bell sleeves and dreamlike waves to give fluidity to cocktail dresses and evening robes.

Dresses revealed cuts on the back to unveil the skin, like in a contemporary art painting.

Accessories included python clutches, floral necklaces in colourful resin and cage sandals with decorated ankles.
