The obesity battle is going pear-shaped real quick according to this study. Healthcare costs and obesity-related diseases are expected to sharply increase in all states by 2030, with Mississippi bearing the worst of it.

Current obesity rates hover at around 35 percent. By 2030 this number could increase to 60 percent or more. The study also points out that along with the increase in obesity, there will be more cases of Type 2 diabetes, coronary heart disease and strokes, hypertension and arthritis.

So you'd better dust off those running shoes and apologize to your gym for standing them up if you don't want be part of these awful statistics. Or just chill and watch more YouTube videos!
