Burglars have a whole slew of items to choose from. Usually food isn’t at the top of the priority list.

A 16-year-old boy had a hard time resisting an Eggo waffle while allegedly burglarizing a home in Florida. The homeowner, who was out of town at the time of the break-in claimed that fishing equipment and musical instruments were missing.

The thief also snatched an Eggo from the fridge using Aunt Jemima syrup to top it off. He left his evidence behind, placing his dirty dishes in the sink.

Another home was burglarized days later on the same street. Police received a tip leading them to some of the stolen goods and to the suspected juvenile thief, George Stuck.

In another burglary report from this year, Russian police arrested a not-so-savvy burglar, who fell asleep in the same apartment he was trying to rob. He reportedly broke into a home near Moscow, stashed away some money and food before spotting a vodka bottle. The suspect consumed the booze, then passed out in the homeowner’s bed. He was later awakened by law enforcement.
