In a debate moderated by TIMES NOW's Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami, panelists -- Dr Chandan Mitra, Editor-in-Chief, The Pioneer & MP, Rajya Sabha, BJP; Naresh Gujral, MP Rajya Sabha, SAD; Sanjay Jha, Co - founder, Humara Congress.com; and Virendra Pandey, Social Activist -- discuss the issue of BJP-Congress fight over coal block allocations to BJP President Nitin Gadkari's aide Ajay Sancheti, BJP MP.

The war between BJP-Congress escalated over BJP Rajya Sabha MP Ajay Sancheti, BJP President Nitin Gadkari's aide. The Congress alleged that Sancheti was favoured during the allocation of coal blocks in Chhatisgarh and accused Raman Singh's government of allocating a coal block to the BJP MP's firm in violation of rules. The BJP has called charges levelled against Sancheti a diversionary tactic by the Congress. But, the UPA hit back saying that the BJP does not believe CAG's figures when it comes to losses in states ruled by it. Ajay Sancheti rubbished all the allegations against him saying that his firm signed the deal 2 years before Gadkari became the President of BJP. The CAG pegged the loss caused due to allocation of coal blocks at "abnormally low" rates at over Rs 1,052 crore.
