Kenya protests rage on after cleric's death

The Muslim community in the Kenyan city of Mombasa has taken to the streets for the fourth day to protest the killing of cleric Aboud Rogo Mohammed.

Rogo was murdered earlier this week and his followers claim he was executed by authorities over unproven allegations of "terrorism".

He had been blacklisted by US and UN for his alleged support for Somalia's al-Qaeda-linked al-Shabab.

Kenyan Muslims believe they are the victims of religious persecution and are convinced there is a systematic campaign of extrajudicial killings and disappearances of conservative thinkers in their community.

Al Jazeera's Peter Greste reports from Mombasa.
