Israel seeks to draft ultra-Orthodox Haredi

A controversial committee in Israel has released a report calling for the country's ultra-Orthodox Jews, the Haredi, to be drafted for military service.

It has become a growing contentious issue that may threaten the coalition government. Many Israelis are resentful of the fact that the rest of the country is footing the bill for this one community who live off government stipends.
