Fresh clashes reported in Egypt's Sinai peninsula

Fresh fighting has erupted between gunmen and police in Egypt's Sinai region, according to state television.
The clashes reportedly broke out in the northern town of al-Arish, close to a police station.
State television did not identify the gunmen and, according to a Reuters correspondent in al-Arish,
the town is now calm after the reported violence.
