Former envoy comments on Moscow's diplomacy with Syria

The UN Security Council held a high-level meeting on Syria on Tuesday. Despite impassioned pleas from the Arab League to take action, the council remains divided on the way forward.

To explain Russian sentiments, Vyacheslav Matuzov, a former Russian diplomat and chairman of the Russian Friendship Society with Arab Countries, speaks to Al Jazeera from Moscow.
