Olympic Games: Rebirth of the Games
Gaël Pollès, journalist and founder of Pratiks, walks us through a journey to the 19th century where we learn about the different attempts at restoring this ancient tradition, lost for over 1 500 years. We meet characters such as Mr. Esprit Paul de Lafont-Poulotti, who tried a first restoration at the township of Paris and Baron Pierre de Coubertin, who in 1892 managed to organize the “Congress for the re-establishment of the Olympic Games” and finally succeeded in the rebirth of this ancient greek tradition.
