Riz Khan - Haiti: Rebuilding an image
"Republic of NGOs", "crime-ridden", "cursed"... this is how the media often describes Haiti, overshadowing the country's rich cultural identity.

As the nation marks its one-year anniversary of the devastating earthquake that left more than 230,000 people dead, many Haitians are fighting to break the negative stereotypes.

On Tuesday's Riz Khan, we speak with renowned Haitian artist Edouard Duval-Carrié; and Huguens Jean, whose directorial debut Lif Up follows his journey back to Haiti two months after the earthquake.

Dr Laurent Dubois, a historian and the co-director of the Haiti Lab at Duke University also joins the programme.
