Myanmar's main military-backed party has claimed an overwhelming victory in the November polls.

Opponents and the West say the vote was neither free nor fair.

Now, one of Myanmar's largest rebel groups says fighting will escalate if the new government fails to start talks with major ethnic groups.

New recruits run through their drills - training for what could be an offensive in the name of statehood.
