  • vor 12 Jahren
A horse has to be lead from the pasture into its loose-box, from the loose-box to the cleaning area and from the stable to the transportation trailer. To be able to lead the horse, a halter is placed on the horses head and a lead-rope is attached to the halter. Lead-ropes come in different materials, platic and cutton, and have different hooks, carabiner or panic hook. Depending on where to lead the horse the type of lead-rope is chosen. When leading a horse, make sure that you lead it from the left side, meaning that the horse in on your right hand side. Keep it relatively close to you and stay on the horse's shoulder level. Never wrap the lead-rope around yor wrist or arm. Don't let the horse run in front or behind you. Keep a certain strain on the rope and control it.
