CHERRY TREE TRUST - INSPIRED BY CHERRY GROCE

This short video trailer depicts the cause behind Londons second riot in Brixton South London 1985. Cherry Groce a born jamaican mother with 6 children, was innocently shot by a member of the Police in her home as a mistaken identity leaving her paralyzed from the waiste down. As a result, it sparked widespread mass hysteria amongst the tight knit community who are and are still devastated by this crucial and incompetant Police blunder, which is still to be rectified up to today!

Although Cherry's life expectancy was only meant to be 10 years after the shooting, she courageously battled for 26 years. She sadly passed away on easter Sunday 24th April 2011.

An inquest has been opened into Cherry's death and the family are currently awaiting the outcome. For more info, please go to: www.cherrytreetrust.org
