Syrian refugees unimpressed with Geneva talks

They left their country to escape the continued violence between troops loyal to President Bashar al-Assad and those who want him out of power.
But for Syrian refugees living in Turkey, talks held by the United Nations security council were too little too late.
(SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) SYRIAN REFUGEE ABO ALI, SAYING:
"Before everything Bashar must leave power, there is no solution to this. If those meetings were helpful, they would have been helpful a year and a half ago. After a year and a half, they want the murderer to share power with us, there is no logic in it."
Even as the talks took place in Geneva, the fighting continued in Syria. Amateur video shows smoke rising on the horizon-- and burt out, bombed buildings.

The outcome of Saturday's meetings-- that a transitional government should be set up-- still leaves open the question of whether al-Assad should step down.
