A fire rages at this historic shrine in India's northern Jammu and Kashmir state.

The 200-year-old Peer Dastgeer Sahib shrine reportedly went up in flames in the early hours of Monday morning.

While no casualties had been reported, some people were feared to be trapped inside the structure.

Over a dozens fire trucks were on site to battle the blaze.

The cause of the fire was still under investigation.

The shrine is popular among both Hindus and Muslims, who often visit the site to offer prayers.
