Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 The Answer to Stale Franchise (Interview) - E3 2012

Call of Duty is unarguably the most successful video game franchise this console generation and Activision looks to revolutionize the franchise with Black Ops 2. For the very first time in the Call of Duty franchise, the ninth installment will take players through a futuristic setting featuring future warfare technology and settings. With two connected story lines taking place in the 1970s through 1980s and 2025, the Call of Duty franchise is set to deliver the unique experience that gamers have long cried for.

As you can imagine, with Call of Duty: Black Ops 2's release just months away, Activision made sure that the upcoming blockbuster made a splash during E3 2012. As a member of the media, I had the opportunity to check out exclusive gameplay for the very first time and check out what many anticipate to be just "another Call of Duty". For the first time in years with the Call of Duty franchise, I walked away impressed by the gameplay and enhancements made with Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.

While capturing footage of the demo shown was restricted, I had the opportunity to catch up with John Rafacz, Director of Communications at Treyarch, to expand on what's new with Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, and what gamers should expect when the game launches November 13th.
