President Nicolas Sarkozy has addressed supporters in Saint Cyr, saying that his 27.2 per cent vote was achieved despite a media campaign against him.
The incumbent said pollsters would have liked to have voted in place of citizens, and that media organisations had a "an extreme left-wing" bias.
