Substation transformers switching on line

T1 and T2 transformers being switched on after maintenance on protection CT's.
The inrushcurrent makes an interesting sound in the transformer core when the 33 kV circuit braker closes. These TX's are rated at 12.5 MVA and working voltages of 33 / 11 kV and supplying a local suburban area in Auckland, New Zealand.
The inside 11 kV switch gear is South Wales.
