Telephone line status indicator with VU meter

This is a simple telephone line status indicator which is very handy to check if a phone line socket is working.
It will give a visual indication of 3 line status.
1.- Standby
2.- Engaged
3.- Ring tone
To make it is simple.
Old VU meter, one resistor 220 - 470 k.Ohms, small bridge rectifier.
This one I made up for the New Zealand phone line sockets, but can be adapted to fit any phone socket.
