12 Volts charger in car battery case

data to follow:
I repaired this charger which was being thrown out.
Very cool to use a battery case for a 12 Volts charger.
The 8 Amp rectifier had shorted out because of probably reversed polarity of a battery. (as there was no AC mains fuse I discarded the idea of the affixed power lead.)
I fitted an IEC connector, 1 Amp mains (240V) fuse, 8 Amp AC fuse at the secondary side to protect the 6 and 12 Volts side of the TX.
Also I fitted a 10 Amp DC fuse to prevent reversed polarity blowing up the 35 Amp rectifier.
The TX is only rated at 75VA so 6 Amps will be the maximum current available to charge a car battery.
