Adam Sandler tackled the challenges of bad parenting skills when he arrived on the red carpet Monday night in Los Angeles for the world premiere of his latest comedy, "That's My Boy."

In the film, Donny, played by Sandler, fathered a son, Todd (Andy Samberg), and raised him as a single parent up until Todd's 18th birthday. Now, after not seeing each other for years, Todd's world comes crashing down on the eve of his wedding when an uninvited Donny suddenly shows up. Trying desperately to reconnect with his son, Donny is now forced to deal with the repercussions of his bad parenting skills.

SOUNDBITE Adam Sandler saying (English):

"It is a father who hits the bottle a little bit, no doubt about it, he gets a little loose and enjoys the ladies. His son had enough of that and ran away from him. But, it is a love story of a father and son, the father is trying desperately to reconnect again and the son wants nothing to do with him and then realizes that maybe there is something decent about the guy."

Besides Sandler and Samberg, the cast for "That's My Boy" also includes Susan Sarandon, "Vanilla Ice" and Tony Orlando.

SOUNDBITE Adam Sandler saying (English):

"We think of it while we are writing who would be funny to write for, like Vanilla Ice and Tony Orlando and stuff like that. We were excited to write stuff with them. We do giggle at making them say certain things. We do it like that."

"That's My Boy" opens in the U.S. on June 15.
