Georgia opens parliament building in Kutaisi

Georgia's president has officially opened the country's new parliament as it celebrates independence day - but it's not in the capital Tbilisi.

The building, in Georgia's second city of Kutaisi, is also not quite ready yet. The controversial structure cost some $100m and aims to revive the post-industrial city. But critics say the move aims to sideline the parliament.

Giorgi Badridze, Georgia's ambassador to the UK, explains why the president decided to move the parliament.
