Brazil's Diegues praises Cannes Camera d'Or

Brazilian cinema is a special guest star at the Cannes film festival, and though the country has no film in competition this year, famed Brazilian director Carlos Diegues is putting in a presence as the chair of the jury for the Camera d'Or award. Diegues, who pioneered the "new cinema" style of film in Brazil alongside Glauber Rocha, calls the Camera d'Or category -- for a director's best debut film -- the "Cannes of the future".
