CAIR, the largest Muslim advocacy group in the US, has been accused by four members of congress of "trying to infiltrate the government".

They say the group attempts to place interns in key government offices with the hope of influencing US policy.

The accusations have upset both the advocacy group and some Democrats, who called it a "witch hunt."

Al Jazeera's Patty Culhane reports.
