Classic Game Room - SILPHEED: THE LOST PLANET for PS2 review
  • 12 years ago
Classic Game Room was the FIRST classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999. Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of WILLIAMS SILPHEED: THE LOST PLANET for the Playstation 2 PS2 video game console systems. Silpheed was released on the PS2 in 2000 with little fanfare, but this vertical scrolling maniac shooter SHMUP is a terriffic game with excellent gameplay and science fiction movie cut scenes, as seen in the footage. Pilot your SA-77 Silpheed fighter jet spaceship against wave after wave of alien bad guys and shoot them into space dust with a huge arsenal of weapons like laser beams and napalm. Is this as good as Silpheed on the Sega CD or the PC? Do you like space shooter shmups? Is this one of the best shoot 'em ups ever made? How does it compare to Radiant Silvergun or Wind Squid? This is the US version of the game, not a Japanese import. Be sure to watch the original Classic Game Room episodes.
