Mercedes SL 500 | Drive it!

Mercedes SL 500 is an automotive icon that can look back on more than 60 years of history, but the convertible roadster still has to keep up with the times. That?s why Mercedes has overhauled it and come out with a new model. The SL 500's V8 engine, with a capacity of 4663 cubic centimeters, powers up to a solid 320 kW. That's a 12 percent increase over its predecessor, even though its capacity has fallen by nearly a liter. At the same time, though, its torque has risen from 530 Newton meters to 700.
