Austin based singer-songwriter Ali Holder paired with violinist Karin Gustafsson in March of 2011 to start Ali Holder & The Broken Hearted; in May of 2011 upright bassit Travis Shull joined The Broken Hearted. The band released Trangressions EP in late spring of 2011 followed by a tour across Texas and New York during the summer.

With influcences ranging from Willie Nelson to Patty Griffin to Susan Tedeschi, this folk/country/blues trio brings heart breaking melodies and harmonies to tragic heart wrenching songs.
