"Hunger Games" opens big, James Cameron starts historic dive

The highly anticipated drama "The Hunger Games" opened with a staggering 155 million dollars in ticket sales at the North American box office - making it the third-highest opening in history. The film, which tells the story of an oppressive society's teen death match, ranked behind only the "Harry Potter" finale and 2008 Batman movie "The Dark Knight."
Coming in at number two was "21 Jump Street," which earned 21.3 million.
And rounding out the top three was "The Lorax," which took in 13.1 million dollars.
James Cameron has begun his journey to the deepest point on Earth - the Mariana Trench. The director began his dive at 5:50 a.m. on Monday (March 26) local time - about 200 miles from Guam. If Cameron's dive succeeds, he will be only one of three men to ever reach the point, which sits roughly 7 miles below the ocean surface.
Finally, Sunday (March 25) was a milestone weekend for two music legends. Queen of soul Aretha Franklin turned 70 and pop music icon Elton John celebrated his 65.
