The game play in Angry Birds Space is different from the original. Taking the game into space means planets exhibit gravitational fields that alter the course of the birds' flight.
Angry Birds Space also introduces new birds with new powers, including one bird who turns obstacles into ice.
The new game aims to capitalize on the popularity of original, which has been downloaded more than 700 million times. It has already shot to the top of the App store charts.
