Six policemen have been killed and 10 wounded as Turkish security forces carried out an operation against a group of militants from the Kurdistan Worker's Party (PKK).
Seven of the Kurdish fighters died as troops attacked them in the Cudi mountains of Turkey's Sirnak province in a two-day offensive.
