Wahlberg promotes "Contraband" in Madrid

STORY: American actor Mark Wahlberg was in Madrid on Tuesday (February 28) to promote his latest film "Contraband" which will premiere in the Spanish capital on March 16.

"Contraband", tells the story of a smuggler, played by Wahlberg, who takes on a risky job to help settle his brother-in-law's debt.

"Contraband" cost about $25 million US Dollars to produce and was co-financed by privately held Relativity Media. The movie's performance exceeded Universal's forecast for opening-weekend sales in the United States of around $15 million US Dollars, according to Universal.
