Michael Jackson's former physician Dr. Conrad Murray has requested to be released from jail while he works on his appeal. Murray's lawyers have filed papers saying that the doctor is not a flight risk and doesn't pose a danger to the community. Murray was sentenced to four years in November for causing Jackson's 2009 death.

Sacha Baron Cohen can still attend the Oscars - for now. Rumors were circling that the Academy had revoked his tickets over his plan to appear on the red carpet in character from his next movie, "The Dictator." A source at the Academy said that they have informed Cohen's camp that "stunting" on the red carpet will not be tolerated, but are waiting word from the actor before making their final decision about his attendance.

Jennifer Aniston has received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The "Friends" actress was on hand to accept the honor. Her star - the 2,462nd on the famed boulevard - sits on the sidewalk at the intersection of Hollywood and Vine.

Finally, Reese Witherspoon was in South Korea to promote her latest film, "This Means War." The actress greeted fans and posed for pictures. It was Witherspoon's first visit to the Asian nation.
