Barry Tierney is a rising star in the singer/songwriting world. The 20 year old Irishman has swooped several awards around the world including the prestigious International song writing contest in London, where Robin Gibb of Bee Gees fame hailed his song as genius.

Barry was born in kinsale Co. Cork in Ireland's deep south and comes from an illustrious musical family. His grandfather and grand-aunts where all professional musicians and his great-grandfather was the founder of the Bantry town band, he also was the first person to own a piano in Bantry! Barry is influenced by such artists as Bob Dylan and Jackson Browne and hailed by his idols such as Christy Moore and Johnny Spillane.

Barry plays concerts and festivals around Ireland and Europe. He has also appeared in festivals in the U.S.A. but can occasionally be seen in Kinsale and Cork City clubs such as the Seanachai where he tries new material. He has also appeared on RTE television and radio .
