Whitney Houston's body is removed from hotel

STORY: Singer Whitney Houston's body was taken early Sunday (February 12) from the Beverly Hills hotel where she was found dead the day before. Houston, 48, had been staying on the fourth floor of the Beverly Hilton hotel where she was expected to attend the annual pre-Grammy award party thrown by her career mentor, music executive Clive Davis.
Crowds of media personnel and fans gathered in the hotel's parking lot to catch a snapshot or a glance of the white coroner's van departing with Houston's body, shortly after midnight. The body was taken to the Los Angeles County Coroner's office for examination.
