IDF Forces Pursue Terrorists Involved In Deadly Ambush Dubbe

Three IDF soldiers were killed and two others were wounded Wednesday after coming under heavy fire from Palestinian gunmen while patrolling the border with the Gaza Strip near Kibbutz Beeri' The soldiers spotted a number of armed Palestinians approaching the border and set off in pursuit, falling in to a well planned ambush set up by Hamas. One of the dead soldiers was identified as   Sgt. Matan Ovdati, 19, from Patish in the Negev. In response to the fatal ambush Israel decided to postpone transferring fuel to the Gaza Strip that it had intended to allow through this morning. Meanwhile Israeli defense officials will convene to assess the situation and Israel's response.
