Latrine Building In Burkina Faso
Three years ago, Assetta Ilboudo was selling food in a rural market in Burkina Faso when she was offered training to become a bricklayer. She was trained by a community based organization to provide 75,000 families with their own latrines. Part of a new movement called Community-led Total Sanitation and with support from UNICEF and the European Union, this programme is being expanded.
