Amateur video out of Syria shows a funeral service in Homs.
The video, which could not be independently verified by Reuters comes amid reports that five civilians were killed by security forces over the weekend in Homs.
Those attending the funeral procession can be heard chanting: 'Arabs, why the silence? The people of Syria are dying'.
On Monday video aired by Syria TV showed extensive military exercises being carried out at an unknown location. The footage was released after the country said earlier it "would like" to agree soon to an Arab League peace plan to end its eight-month crackdown on popular unrest
Reuters cannot independently verify when or where the video was originally recorded.
The footage displayed military muscle that could be intended to deter foreign military intervention in a crisis which has killed at least 4,000 people.
The Arab League has voted to impose economic sanctions against Damascus but they have yet to take effect. The regional bloc has repeatedly extended deadlines for Damascus to agree to a peace plan that would see Arab monitors oversee its withdrawal of troops from towns.
