Makeup Tips for New Year - Makeup Tips - as part of the expert series by GeoBeats. Tips on getting a great idea for New Year's look, you want to definitely definitely define your brows, you want to have an eye -- I mean just a popping eye, meaning glitter or shimmery type shadows, or multi color. And definitely want your lashes on because those lashes -- get them with some stones on them. Just make them stand out so most people see you and a they will be like "Wow!" And you want to have your lips popping, you need to have like a pinkish type lip gloss or lipstick, or a reddish type lipstick or lip gloss. To obtain the New Year's look, you want to definitely moisturize the skin, and moisturizing the skin just helps one, keep the moisture in, and also easier to apply the makeup. What we are going to do next is go on and work on the actual eye. And to get those colors popping and enticing, you want to use an eyeshadow base. You just apply it over the lid actually where you are going to place the eyeshadow at, and I will be blending it in with my finger. It is going to be the ring finger. The next trick I use, I am going to use a pencil, which is an eyeshadow pencil, and it is called Milk. The reason I am going to use it is that it is another eyeshadow base, and it also helps to set the eyeshadow in as well. So the only thing you are going to do is just take your pencil, you can use any color, say if you were doing a purple eye, use a purple eyeshadow pencil, or black, or whatever color you desire, but I am going to use white. And we are going to use this black shimmery type eyeshadow, it has a little shimmer of silver in it and we are going to place this all over the eye. Smoky eye is great for Christmas parties, New Year's party, it is just a perfect eye. We are going to leave a little space between her eyelid and the brow, because we are going to highlight her brow bone. I am going to go over to the next eye and do the same thing. Ok, the highlight area, it goes here underneath the brow. That is what we are going to highlight that with this shimmery type shadow, and what that does is one, open up the eye a little bit, and give some definition to the brow that we just did. You can always go back and get more black eyeshadow if you feel that you need more. Basically what we are doing now is getting the idea or the concept of how we are going to do the brow -- or the eye. Same thing, we will go on the other side. And you can blend those colors together. If you feel that your black is not deep enough, we are going to go back over it with some more black eyeshadow. Right now we are just blending.
