Turkish troops 'kill 49 Kurdish rebels'

Turkish troops have killed at least 49 Kurdish rebels in a valley near the Iraqi border, according to the military. They have been attacking separatist militants in southeastern Turkey and in northern Iraq, following an attack by the PKK in which 24 soldiers were killed.
