Islas en el asfalto es un proyecto de intervenciones artísticas temporales en rotondas, (Islands over the road Artistic project of interventions on roundabouts) esta iniciativa nace con la idea de alterar estéticamente la realidad urbana, eludiendo temporalmente el único cometido de esos espacios circulares del interior de las rotondas que no son utilizables, prohibidos al peatón e inaccesibles.
Lanzamos un mensaje contextualizado y optimista sobre la habitabilidad y disfrute de la ciudad, para compartir por un instante este espacio con la ciudadanía, destacando cívicamente el patrimonio monumental de Leganés.
El colectivo Imayina está formado por profesionales de la educación y del arte, que trabajamos en diferentes ámbitos de la educación no formal, las artes y la formación. Estamos constituidos como Asociación Cultural desde 1998 y nuestra trayectoria es tan variada y extensa como los más de diez años que llevamos imáyinando otras maneras de aprender, enseñar y soñar...

The monumental legacy that can be found in Leganés, together with the particularity of the space covered by these roundabouts, transforms this project into a unique way of showing and sharing this circular space with the citizens as well as showing the own citizens’ right/ option to inhabit in a peaceful way the atmosphere of craziness and fastness we are living nowadays, just to stop and look…
Imáyina is collective of educators and artists working in different areas of non formal education. We are concerned with investigation, formation and intervention.
We are registered as a Cultural Association since 1998 and our path is as diverse and wide as the more than ten years that we have been “ymagining” another ways of learning, teaching, dreaming…
