On Tuesday some of the best high divers gathered in southern China to compete in the 2011 China International High Diving Competition. Here's that story.

The 2011 China International High Diving Competition ended in Liuzhou City in South China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Tuesday.

A total of 20 overseas competitors participated in the event, and they jumped from 90-foot-high bridge over the Liujiang River.

British synchronized diver Blake Aldridge was there to compete. During the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics, he took part in the Men's 10-meter platform diving. He and his 14-year-old diving partner, Tom Daley, finished eighth in the event.

[Blake Aldridge, Competitor]:
"And with the Olympic diving, there is still danger but not like this and everybody just wants to win. And here it is like a big family with everybody and all of these divers are my friends."

Huang Jiacheng, from Guangxi Province's capital city of Nanning, was the only Chinese competitor this time and finished the diving, becoming the second Chinese diver at such a height.
