Hollywood actor Sean Penn visited the Libyan capital Tripoli on Wednesday.
The Oscar-winning actor had a brief conversation with the media outside his Tripoli hotel, but did not make a statement. He said he wanted to witness events in the country before making any official comments.
Penn recently joined thousands of protesters and Egyptian activists in Cairo as they demonstrated in Tahrir Square, calling for military rulers to speed up the transfer of power to civilians.
