Elderly French woman abducted in Kenya

Gunmen kidnapped an elderly French woman from the Kenyan island of Manda Saturday , the second armed abduction of a foreign visitor from the east African country's coast in three weeks.
Kenya's Coast Province police chief confirmed the attack and said the security forces were combing the area.
Analysts and diplomats in the region warned earlier in the year that Somali pirates were likely to turn to softer targets, such as tourists in Kenya, in response to much more robust defense of merchant vessels by private security guards.
