Lokelani overcame her addiction to meth and is now the Habilitat Hawaii Female Coordinator. Her addiction started at 12 years old. Pregnant at 14 and two kids by 17, she lost everything to her addiction.
After numerous arrests and incarceration she found her way to Habilitat in a reluctant moment of desperation. After she got her act together she set out to earn her children back. In spite of the fact that the children had been adopted years earlier, in spite the fact that the cild protective services told her she would never get her kids back, she forged on.
Today Lokelani has custody of her two beautiful daughters. She beat her addiction and earned her way to a great life. She is living proof that addicts can recover. She now works with the clinical staff at Habilitat, helping other women realize their potential.
