African Americans Originally were Republicans not Democrats

Very few folks are aware that the Republicans were the real party that chanpioned civil rights and with which African Americans were identified. The actual history of political parties in the US is unveiled in this video by David Barton from Wallbuilders. (http://www.kingswaya2.org/kingswayblog/archives/178) By 1875, Republicans had passed over two dozen civil rights laws. Violence towards African Americans was the manner employed to further the Democrat Party politically. Klan terrorist techniques toward African Americans would have quit if they would abandon the Republican Party. This video presents the argument of Represenative Joseph Hayne Rainey of South Carolina for African Americans to continue to associate with Republicans.
