Yum! Brands Directs First $1 Million of World Hunger Relief Funds to Help Fight Hunger in The Horn of Africa
LOUISVILLE, KY, August 17, 2011 – Yum! Brands (NYSE: YUM), the world’s largest restaurant company and parent of KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell, announced today that it is directing the first $1 million from its World Hunger Relief global effort to provide food to families affected by hunger and suffering the effects of drought in the Horn of Africa. The funds will help the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) feed those in urgent need of food assistance.
