DANCE CLASSES SAN DIEGO, TANGO 2008

Argentine tango is a club dance that originated in Argentina in the late 1800's and uses a close embrace. It is somewhat unique in its improvisational character. The couple responds to the music and each other in a spontaneous, creative way in a non-verbal dialogue. The conversation is started by the leader but continued by the follower in the a beautiful dance story. Many Argentine tango venues encourage Argentinian cultural codes at the tango dance parties titled Milongas including a specific dance etiquette, dress and dancing a whole tanda, which is a few songs that end with a break when the couple separated to dance with others. We offer dance classes in tango at Pattie Wells' dance studio in San Diego weekly!
