"Mt. Shivling with swirling clouds. Time Lapse of Clouds in Gaumukh. As seen from above Bhojwas and en route Gomukh. Gaumukh translates to a cow's mouth, the mythological source of the river. Originally, the river sprouts from the snout of the Gangotri glacier, which might have looked like a cow's mouth in the past. The glacier is at a distance of 9 kilometres from the famous Gangotri temple, dedicated to goddess Ganga.
