When Florian Kuri first entered the work world, a successful career seemed like a distant fantasy. When he first did an apprenticeship at the Sick electronic sensor manufacturer in Waldkirch, he wasn't sure whether he could stay the course.Today, he's studying electrical engineering with funding from the company. And when he finishes, he's assured a job as an engineer with the company - it's all part of Sick's program to look within the firm to address the shortage of skilled workers.
