Motorola XT882 Dual SIM Tegra 2 SmartPhone Hands On

http://www.netbooknews.com Motorola XT882 is a Smartphone being released for the China market and its doing so with a few very interesting features. The two that stand out are its based on the 1GHz Dual Core Tegra 2 processor and its dual SIM card slots. What makes these dual SIM card slots interesting is that they are targeted at different networks so you'll be able to have one SIM running on the UMTS network and the EVDO network, basically GSM & CDMA. The design of the phone has a few features that are tailored for the Chinese market, like covering the ports to stream line the phone and well...the dual SIM which is hugely popular here. The other thing is that CDMA phones here have SIM cards, this was the first time I'd seen this ability live in a hand set. The 4 inch device is running Android 2.3 platform (Gingerbread) on its HD display, no other detailed specs were given as Motorola is pushing the concept of the phone rather then the specs at the moment. There is no word on what day this smartphone will be hitting the streets or at what price point, but we imagine its going to be competitive for this market
